The following death notices appeared in the January 20, 1894 issue of the Chicago Daily News, page 5:

“BRACKBILL-At Chelsea, Mich., Jan 4, 1894, CATHERINE, widow of Frederick Brackbill and mother of Mrs. Louise Jewett of this city, aged 88 years.”

“BRADY-At his residence, 3043 Archer-av., WILLIAM, beloved husband of Mary Brady (nee Grimes), aged 67 years. Funeral notice hereafter.”

“BURKE-AUSTIN, beloved son of Austin and Bridget Burke, 1462 Indiana-av. Funeral Sunday by cars to Calvary.”

“BURROWS-At his residence, 666 S. Washtenaw-av., Friday evening, Jan. 19, DAVID BURROWS, aged 46 years. Funeral Sunday, at 1:30 p.m., from Messiah Baptist church, corner Flourney-st., and Washtenaw-av., by carriages to Rose Hill.”

“M’GRATH-The remains of JOHN M’GRATH, brother of Thomas and Daniel McGrath, will be interred from the vault at Calvary on Monday, Jan. 22. Train 11:15 a.m. on Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul.”

Funeral Sunday, Jan. 21, at 9 o’clock, from her parents’ residence, 399 Elston-av., to Annunciation church, thence by carriages to Calvary cemetery.”

“SCIUTTI-At her residence, 5331 S. Halsted-st., Jan. 18, 1894, MARIANNA, widow of the late Agostino Sciutti, aged 59 years. Funeral Sunday morning, Jan. 21, to Church of the Assumption, thence to Calvary by carriages.”

“WEIS-Jan. 18, 1894, Mrs. MARGARET WEIS, aged 70 years. Funeral from her residence, 166 Eugenie-st., Sunday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m., to St. Paul’s church, thence to Graceland.”

“WESCOTT- At his residence, 577 Orchard-st., Friday, Jan. 19, R.A. WESCOTT, aged 49 years. Funeral services Sunday, Jan. 21, 2:30 p.m., at Church of Our Savior.”
