The following obituaries appeared on page 6 of the August 15, 1894 issue of the Chicago Daily News;

“MILLAR-Aug. 14, 1894, at the residence of his brother, James Millar, 6426 Stony Island-av., JOHN, beloved son of Catherine and the late William Millar, aged 31 years. Funeral at 10 a.m. Aug. 16, to St. Lawrence’s church, thence by carriages to Mount Olivet. Ottawa and Quebec papers please copy.”

“SANGER-At her mother’s residence, 591 Elston-av., Mrs. JANE, beloved mother of Eddie and Annie Sanger and sister of James, Charles, Thomas, Henry and Katie. Funeral Friday, 9:30, to Annunciation church, thence by C. & N.W. Ry. to Calvary.”

“FITZPATRICK-Aug. 13, 1894, at the residence of her daughter, 117 Sibley-st., Mrs. J. K. FITZPATRICK, mother of James K. Fitzpatrick and Mrs. D. Ward. Funeral Thursday, 9 o’clock, from 117 Sibley-st., to Holy Family church, where high mass will be celebrated, thence by carriages to Calvary cemetery.”

“ADLER-Aug. 14, at 225 Vine-st., NORMA, the beloved child of Fred and Lizzie Adler. Funeral Thursday, Aug. 16, at 10 o’clock to Waldheim.”
