The following death notices appeared in the January 10, 1894 issue of the Chicago Daily News, page 9:

“BAILEY-WILLIAM F.D., beloved husband of Elizabeth Bailey, aged 66 years. Funeral from his late residence, 1151 W. Superior-st., Thursday at 7:30 a.m., to Portage, Wis.”

“BALLEN-At Dubuque, Iowa, Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1894 at 6 p.m., Mrs. JOSEPH BALLEN. Funeral Thursday, Jan. 114, at 1 p.m., from Illinois Central Depot to Rose Hill by carriages.”

“BUSCH-At 128 Sherman-st., Jan. 9, 1894, MINNIE BUSCH (nee Walker), beloved wife of Cornelius G. Busch, beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Walker and sister of Mrs. R. Booth. Funeral from above residence, Thursday, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m., to Oakwoods. All members of L.O.L. invited. Belfast and Monagheni (Ireland) papers please copy.”
