“David Van Ness Person Expires.

David Van Ness Person, a well-known figure to the paint and varnish trade of the country, and publisher of Paint, Oil and Drug Review, died yesterday at his residence, 3249 Rhodes avenue, after a brief illness. Mr. Person was born in New York in 1842. He established the Paint, Oil and Drug Review in 1883. He was secretary of several trade organizations and was a member of the Chicago Athletic association and the Holland society. He is survived by a widow, two daughters and three sons.”

“BREYER-Jan. 1, 1908, Sophia, widow of the late Conrad Breyer, mother of the late Mrs. William Ortlepp, grandmother of Mrs. C. J. Meneley and Frank Ortlepp. Funeral services at Union Park Congregational church, Saturday, Jan. 4, 1:30 p.m., interment at Graceland.”
