Did anyone mysteriously disappear from your family tree? Trains were quite dangerous in 1880. Still are.

The following article appeared on page one of the June 15, 1880 Chicago Daily News;

“KILLED BY THE CARS.

The Coroner this morning held an inquest on the body of an unknown young man, about 19, killed by a train near 45th street.”
