The following death notices appeared on page 7 of the March 5, 1894 issue of the Chicago Daily News,
“BRADY-The remains of Thomas Brady will be taken from the vault and buried in Calvary cemetery, Tuesday, March 6, 1894, trains leave Northwestern depot at 9 o’clock.”
“BAER-March 4, 1894, MAX, beloved husband of Annie Baer (nee Bartels), aged 36 years. Funeral from late residence, 290 Cortland-st., Wednesday, at 1 p.m., to Waldheim cemetery.”
“CLEMENTS- March 4, 1894, Mrs. George Clements (nee Katie McGuire), formerly of Lockport, Ill., sister of the Rev. D.F. McGuire, pastor of Visitation church, 55th and Peoria-sts., Chicago. Funeral from Visitation church, Tuesday at 10 a.m., by cars from 23d-st. and Archer-av., via Alton railroad at 1:30 to Joliet. Lockport and Joliet papers please copy.”
“COUTTS-March 4, 1894, at 443 W. Madison-st., EDDIE EARL, beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Coutts, aged 14 years and 3 months. Remains to be taken to Clinton, Iowa for burial.”
“HACK-March 4, 1894, at her home, 209 Center-st., CARRIE M. HACK, aged 25 years. Funeral Tuesday, March 6, at 2 p.m., to Wunder’s cemetery.”
“HURLEY-March 5, 1894, JAMES, son of Michael and Kate Hurley (nee Moore), aged 8 months. Funeral from 3936 Atlantic-st., Tuesday, March 6, by cars to Mount Olivet.”
“JAWORSKI-March 4, at 12 o’clock, Miss D. JAWORSKI, at her residence, 222 S. Peoria-st. Funeral March 6, by carriages to Rose Hill cemetery.”
“KOPECKY-March 3, 1893 (sic), LEONARD J. beloved son of Mary and Joseph Kopecky, aged 6 months. Funeral March 6, from parents’ residence, 143 Bunker-st., at 10 a.m., to Bohemian National cemetery.”
“LAHL-The remains of the late GEORGE A. LAHL will be interred from the vault at Forest Home cemetery, Tuesday, March 6. Train leaves Grand Central depot via N.P.R.R. at 1:30 p.m., stopping at Ashland -av. at 1:41.”
“MILLS-CHARLES WENTWORTH, beloved son of Robert C. and Mary E. H. Mills of 5234 /carpenter-st., aged 2 years 4 months and 17 days. Funeral will take place Tuesday, March 6, 10 a.m., from the residence of his grandmother, Mrs. C. A. Reed, 1414 W. Warren-av. Our darling has gone to rest forever.”
“MURPHY-THOMAS, husband of the late Annie Murphy and beloved father of Francis T., Timothy and ex-Ald. William J. Murphy, Mrs. A. J. Casey, and Mrs. John J. Duffy, aged 60 years. “SPENCER-WILLIAM L. SPENCER, beloved son of Mrs. Henrietta King, aged 21 [or 24] years. Funeral Tuesday, at 1 p.m., from mother’s residence, 2913 S. Canal-st., to Oakwoods. Patrick County (Va.) papers please copy.”
“STHAL-March 4, 1894, CAROLINE STHAL (nee Keil), beloved wife of Louis Sthal, aged 26 years. Funeral Tuesday, March 6, 1 p.m., from 521 N. Paulina-st., to Waldheim.”
“SNOW-March 4, at the residence of his son, Edgar Snow in Philadelphia, SOLOMON SNOW, aged 72 years, father of Mrs. Charles E. Barrett and W. C. Snow of Cleveland. Funeral services at Rose Hill chapel Tuesday March 6, funeral train 4 o’clock.”
“TIERNEY-At her residence, 55 E. Superior-st., Mrs. MARY TIERNEY, native of the parish of Ballintubber, County Mayo, Ireland. Funeral Tuesday, March 6, from her late residence to the Church of the Holy Name, thence by cars via C., & N. W. R.R. to Calvary.”
“WAYNE-March 3, 1894, WILLIAM, beloved husband of Mary Wayne, aged 43 years and 8 months. Funeral Tuesday, March 6, from his late residence, 348 N. Lincoln-st., by carriages to Rose Hill.”
“WEINAND-Mrs. MARGARETH WEINAND, aged 74 years and 9 months. Funeral from residence of her niece, Mrs. Koertgen, 54 Wesson-st., Tuesday, at 9:30, to St. Joseph’s church, thence to St. Boniface cemetery. No flowers.”
“WEHMEYER-March 4, 1894, Mrs. AUGUSTA WEHMEYER, (nee Thumel), wife of the late August Wehmeyer and beloved mother of Emma, Henry and August Wehmeyer, aged 59 years. Funeral Wednesday from her late residence, 26 Emma-st., at 1 p.m., by carriages to Wunder’s cemetery. Friends invited. May her soul rest in heaven.”
