1894 Obituaries: May 15

The following notices of death were printed on page 9 of the May 15th, 1894 issue of the Chicago Daily News,

“ALDWORTH-May 15, 1894, RICHARD, beloved husband of Anna Aldworth and brother of M. E. Aldworth, aged 48 years. Funeral from his late residence, 15 Lynn-ct., at 1 p.m.”

“BRANDECKER-Mrs. PAULINE BRANDECKER, May 14, at her home, 648 Sedgwick-st. Funeral will occur Wednesday, May 16, 8:30 a.m., services at St. Michael’s church, thence by carriages to St. Boniface cemetery.”

“BUSH-May 12, 1894, at 7034 Peoria-st., MAMIE, beloved daughter of Charles and Maggie Bush, aged 19 years and 6 months. Funeral Wednesday, at 9 a.m., to St. Brendan’s church, 67th and Bishop-sts., thence by carriages to Calvary.”

“BRESNAHAN-At the residence of his uncle, Charles Mulbrandon, 621 S. Canal-st., May 14, 1894, FRANK, son of the late Timothy and Mary Bresnahan (nee Mulbrandon) and nephew of Charles and Patrick Mulbrandon and Mrs. Annie Egan, aged 9 years. “GALVIN-May 15, 1894, ELLEN AMBER, beloved daughter of John and Kate Galvin, aged 9 months and 15 days. Funeral from parents’ residence, 91 Canalport-av., Wednesday, by carriages to Calvary.”

“HITCHCOCK-At Troy, N.Y., May 11, JAMES H. HITCHCOCK, late of Chicago, father of Albert H. Hitchcock of this city, aged 77 years.”

“MALONEY-May 14, 1894, MARY MALONEY, (nee Sheehy), wife of the late Officer Timothy Maloney, aged 40 years. Funeral Thursday, May 17, at 9 a.m., from late residence, 154 W. 18th-st., to Sacred Heart church, where high mass will be celebrated, thence by cars to Calvary via Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul railroad.”

“OTT-On May 13, JOHN, beloved son of Michael and Katherine Ott, aged 39 years. Funeral Tuesday, from parents’ residence, 4209 Princeton-av., at 9 a.m., to St. George’s church, thence by carriages to St. Mary’s cemetery. Indianapolis papers please copy.”

“SCHWIGRACH-May 14, 1894, Mrs. KATIE SCHWIGRACH (nee Klein), aged 35 years. Funeral from her late residence, 4817 Bishop-st., Wednesday, May 16, 12 o’clock, cars to St. Mary’s.”

“SWENSON-At his residence, 157 Townsend-st., May 14, 1893 (sic), JOHN L., beloved husband of Mary Swenson, aged 57 years. Funeral Wednesday, 1 p.m., by carriages to Mount Olive.”

“WHITE-May 13, 1894, suddenly, of organic heart disease, JOHN JAMES, husband of Emma Therese White, formerly of Cheltenham, England. Interment at Forest Home May 15; funeral private.”
