Violence in 1894 Chicago

Like every city, Chicago has its fair share of violent incidents. Here is a sample of what appeared on the front page of the Chicago Daily News October 5, 1894:

Mrs. Meehan “became frightened without cause“? Something tells me this wasn’t her first experience with her husband and his drunkenness.
