The following appeared in the Thursday October 20, 1938 issue of the Chicago Daily News, page 34;

John C. Borgwardt. Funeral services for John C. Borgwardt, pioneer furniture manufacturer, will be held Saturday afternoon in the undertaking chapel at 2800 Belmont avenue. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. He died Wednesday morning in his home at 2529 North Bernard street, at the age of 87.

A resident of Chicago since 1862, he was engaged in the furniture manufacturing business for many years prior to his retirement. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Hattie B. Fischer, wife of Louis W. Fischer, assistant trust officer of the American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago.”

Mrs. Nathalie Sieboth Kennedy. Funeral services for Mrs. Nathalie Sieboth Kennedy, 87 years old, a former president of the Fortnightly Club, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the home of her niece, Miss Nathalie Gookin, 321 Linden street, Winnetka, where she died yesterday.

Mrs. Kennedy was principal of the old Sieboth Kennedy School for Girls from 1896 to 1903. Her father of Dr. Joseph Sieboth, a pupil of the composer Mendelssohn. She was the widow of Prof. Horace Milton Kennedy of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y.”

Frank J. Kriz. The funeral of Frank J. Kriz, who was a city policeman for 36 years before he retired in 1924, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at 6507 Cermak road, Berwyn. Burial will be in Bohemian National Cemetery.

Mr. Kriz died Tuesday night in his home at 541 North Central Park avenue. He was 78 years old.

Five children survive him.”

John J. Keig. Funeral services for John J. Keig, 80 years old, a retired merchant, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in his home in Lockport, where he died yesterday.

Mr. Keig, a former mayor of Romeoville, Will County, is survived by three sons and two daughters.”

Joseph D. C. Young. Salt Lake City, Oct. 20.-AP-Joseph D.C. Young, 83 years old, last surviving son of Brigham Young, died last night following an illness of several years.

Four daughters of the early day Mormon leader are still living.”

“H.P. Clements Dies: Was Pullman Traffic Chief; Howard P. Clements, retired passenger traffic manager of the Pullman Company, died last night at the Passavant Hospital after a short illness at the age of 77. Funeral services will be held Friday noon at St. James Episcopal Church, 666 North Rush street. The body will be taken to Henderson, Ky., for interment. He is survived by a son, Howard P. Clements Jr. and a daughter Mrs. Kenneth G. Smith.

Mr. Clements was born at Washington, D.C., Feb. 7, 1861. He entered the employ of the Pullman Company in 1875 as a messenger and retired as passenger traffic manager on Feb. 28, 1931, with 56 years of service. His record on the continuous service was the longest for any employee in the history of the Pullman Company. Clements lived at the Pearson Hotel.”
