The following appeared in the January 25, 1894 issue of the Chicago Daily News, page 5;

“MULLMEYER-Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1893 [sic], Mrs. SOPHIE MULLMEYER, aged 84 years. Funeral from residence of her daughter, Mrs. Amalie Olsen, 691 Shober-st., Sunday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m., by carriages to Mount Olive cemetery.”

Then from the January 25, 1894 issue of the Chicago Daily News, page 6;

“ANDERSON-G.W., beloved husband of Maggie Anderson (nee Rice), brother of Charles, Thomas, John, and Nellie C. Lynch, aged 32 years and 13 days. Funeral from his late residence, 469 W. Fullerton-av., Friday, Jan. 26, at 12 m., by carriages to Rose Hill.”

“BARRY-Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1894, at 312 Sacramento-av., BRUCE THOMAS, infant son of M.H. and Mary Agnes Barry. Burial Thursday, at 10 a.m., at Calvary cemetery.”

“BURNS-Mrs. KITTIE BURNS, at the residence of her sister, Mrs. J.C. Marsh, 626 N. Clark-st. Funeral Friday at 10 a.m. to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, where high mass will be celebrated, thence by carriages to Calvary. Friends invited.”

“BUTCHER-At his home, 1016 Monroe-st., Jan. 24, RICHARD BUTCHER, aged 76 years. Funeral from his late residence Friday at 1 o’clock, thence by carriages to Graceland.”

“CONNOLLY-At his residence, 123 E. Erie-st., Jan. 24, 1894, BARTHLEY, the beloved husband of Mary Connolly. Funeral Friday, Jan. 26, to the Church of the Holy Name, thence by cars to Calvary; C. & N.W.depot.”

“HOULIHAN-Jan. 24, JOHN, beloved husband of Mary Houlihan (nee Sullivan) and son of Bridget and the late John Houlihan, aged 26 years, native of County Clare, Ireland. Funeral Friday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m., from parents’ residence, 80 Ruble-st., to the Sacred Heart church, thence by cars to Calvary, via C.M. and St. P. R. R. “

“JOHNSON-Jan. 24, 1894, at 679 N. Leavitt-st., FRED F. JOHNSON, aged 62 years and 7 months. Funeral Sunday, Jan. 28, at 1 o’clock p.m., from Baer’s hall, 221 W. Chicago-av. to Graceland.”

“KORF-JOHN WALTER, beloved son of John F. and Tillie Korf, aged 15 months and 16 days. Funeral Sunday, at 2 p.m., from parents’ residence, 68 Florence-av.”

“LANGAHR-Thursday, Jan. 24, JOHN LANGAHR, aged 56 years and 3 months. Funeral Sunday, Jan. 28, at 12:30, from his late residence, 145 Canalport-av., to Waldheim cemetery.”

“MEAD-Jan. 24, 1894, at 87 Artesian-av., MITTIE, beloved wife of C.E. Mead, aged 34 years. Funeral Friday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m., for Forest Home.”

“MURPHY-Jan. 23, 1894, THOMAS, beloved husband of Anastasia Murphy (nee Ealy? – type is faded), father of T. W. Murphy, aged 72 years. Funeral from his late residence, 568 Elston-av., Friday, Jan. 26, at 9 a.m., to Annunciation church, where high mass will be celebrated, thence by carriages to Calvary.”

“PETERS-Jan. 23, 1894, LORETTA, daughter of John and Henrietta Peters, aged 1 year and 7 days. Funeral from parents’ residence, 97 25th-pl., Friday at 2 p.m. sharp to St. Boniface cemetery.”

“PETERSON-Jan. 24, 1894, LIZZIE ELLA, beloved daughter of Charles and Carrie Peterson. Burial at Graceland from parents’ residence, 471 Henry-st.”

“RUNYON-Jan. 23, 1894, LAURA J. RUNYON, aged 70 years and 3 months. Funeral service at residence of her daughter, Mrs. Marie Jahn, LaGrange, Ill., Thursday, Jan 25, at 2 o’clock. C. B. & Q. train leaves Union depot at 12:10 o’clock. Interment at Bloomfield N.J.”

“SHIRKOWSKY-At his residence, 818 N. Fairfield-av., WILLIAM, father of Henry J., William and Charles Shirkowsky, aged 62 years. Funeral Friday, Jan. 26, at 1 o’clock p.m., by carriages to Rose Hill.”

“SWEETMAN-Jan. 23, LIZZIE, beloved daughter of John and Margaret Sweetman (nee St. Ledger), sister of Janies and Mary Sweetman, Mrs. John Long and Mrs. George H. Field. Funeral Friday, 9:30 a.m., from St. Cecelia’s church, corner 45th and Atlantic-sts., by cars to Mount Olivet. Bloomington (Ill.) and Rushville (Ind.) papers please copy.”

“WAIT-Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1892 [sic], MARION HELEN, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Wait of 2122 N. Halsted-st., aged 10 years and 4 months. Funeral services at residence Saturday, Jan. 27, at 1 o’clock p.m.”
