The following notices of death were printed on page 9 of the June 5, 1894 issue of the Chicago Daily News;
“FURLONG-June 4, 1894, JOHN FURLONG, aged 10 months. Funeral from parents’ residence, 23 Pearce-st., by carriages to Calvary.”
“GALLAGHER-At his residence, 281 Aberdeen-st., EMMET V., beloved son of Officer John J. and Maggie Gallagher (nee Reilly), aged 4 months. Funeral from late residence Wednesday, 10 a.m., by carriages to Calvary cemetery.”

“HULL-June 4, 1894, at his residence, 5163 Wabash-av., FERDINAND M., husband of Josephine Hull and father of Mrs. Clinton E. Partridge. Funeral at 4 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, by carriages to Oakwoods.”
“HIRSCH-The funeral of Mrs. FANNY HIRSCH will take place from residence of her son-in-law, S. M. Silverman, 3913 Grand-bd., Wednesday, afternoon, at 1 o’clock sharp, by carriages to Rose Hill.”
“KIRK-June 4, 1894, FRANK, beloved brother of Owen Kirk. Funeral Wednesday, June 6, at 10 o’clock from his brother’s residence, 9534 Winston-av., Longwood, Ill. to Mount Olivet.”
“LYNCH-June 3, 1894, MAGGIE E. LYNCH (nee Zimmerman), wife of John Lynch, aged 26 years and 7 months. Funeral Wednesday at 10 a.m., from her sister’s residence, 2995 Archer-av., by cars to Mount Olivet.”
“MAHALL-June 4, at 5:30 p.m., CORNELIUS, child of Ritchie and Sophia Mahall, aged 9 days. Will be buried from parents’ residence, 282 W. Congress-st., Wednesday, at 10 a.m.”
“HAULEY-Monday, June 4, 1894, WILLIAM, beloved son of Edward J. and Mary Hauley (nee Marshall), aged 1 year and 3 months. Funeral Wednesday, June 6, 10:30 a.m., from parents’ residence, 214 W. Chicago-av., to Calvary.”
“M’GRATH-JAMES, youngest and beloved son of Edward and Mary McGrath (nee Foley), aged 14 mos. Funeral Wednesday, June 6, from parents’ residence, 1360 W. Congress-st., at 10 o’clock a.m., by carriages to Calvary.”
“MICHELSEN-June 2, 1894, MATHILDA JANDINA MICHELSEN, aged 23 years 8 months 16 days. Funeral from parents’ residence, 244 W. Erie-st., Wednesday at 1 o’clock, by carriages to Graceland.”
“NORGREN-June 3, 1894, at 38 Keith-st., SOPHUS J. NORGREN, aged 37 years 2 months and 16 days. Funeral Wednesday, at 2 o’clock, from Vail’s undertaking establishment, Grand Crossing, to Oakwoods cemetery.”
“NYGAARD-P. T. NYGAARD, aged 51 years 7 months and 28 days. Funeral from R. Hansen’s residence, 866 Ballou-av., Wednesday, 2 p.m., to Mount Olive.”
“OLSON-Suddenly, at her residence, June 4, 1894, MARIA ADAMS OLSON (nee Nordale), wife of Ole Olson, aged 73 years. Funeral from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Nellie Cranston, 1146 Seminary-av., Wednesday, June 6, at 2 p.m., to Graceland.”
“PERRY-Tuesday, June 5, 3 a.m., LILLIAN A., wife of John H. Perry. Funeral Wednesday, 2 p.m., from Belden Avenue Baptist church to Rose Hill.”
“SMITH-June 4, 1894, PETER, beloved husband of Ellen Smith and father of Johnnie and Maggie Smith, aged 52 years, native of Roselee, County Fermenagh, Ireland. Funeral Wednesday, June 6, at 9:30 a.m., from his late residence, 139 N. Sangamon-st., to St. Stephen’s church, where high mass will be celebrated, thence by carriages to Calvary.”
“YUERS-LIZZIE YUERS-aged 26 years. Funeral Wednesday, June 6, at 1 p.m., from parents’ residence, 288 Blue Island-av., to Forest Home.”
